What was once a dated and cluttered space has been reimagined into a tranquil and contemporary oasis designed for ultimate relaxation and rejuvenation. The dramatic shift in palette, from busy patterns to soothing cool grays and crisp whites, immediately elevates the room, creating an atmosphere of calm and sophisticated simplicity. Every element has been thoughtfully chosen to enhance both form and function. Color Story

A cool and crisp palette dominates with soft cool gray walls and pure white subway tiles in the shower, contrasted by the deeper gray of the floor tiles. Chrome and nickel finishes on fixtures add a sleek metallic touch, while the subtle green of the eucalyptus art and the warm tone of the teak bench introduce natural accents, completing the serene spa ambiance.

About the Original Room

The original bathroom was a time capsule of the past, featuring busy floral wallpaper, a heavy floral shower curtain, and an old-fashioned clawfoot tub with tarnished brass fixtures. The wooden vanity and laminate countertop felt dated and cluttered, contributing to a cramped and uninviting atmosphere. While functional, the space lacked any sense of modern comfort or aesthetic appeal, desperately needing an overhaul to bring it into the contemporary era.

Transformation Journey

Our journey began by completely gutting the outdated elements, removing the busy wallpaper, old tub, and vanity. We then introduced a sophisticated palette of soft cool gray paint on the walls and large format light gray porcelain tiles on the floor, creating a seamless and calming foundation. The traditional tub was replaced with a sleek, spacious walk-in shower featuring classic white subway tiles. A modern floating vanity with integrated sink and contemporary chrome fixtures was installed, enhancing both aesthetics and functionality. The final touches included curated decor and lighting to complete the serene spa-like ambiance.

Designer Notes

This project was incredibly satisfying due to the dramatic "before and after." Taking a bathroom that was so deeply rooted in a past era and transforming it into such a clean, modern, and serene space was a true testament to the power of thoughtful design. I'm particularly proud of how cohesive the new design feels, with every element from the flooring to the fixtures contributing to the overall spa-like mood. The challenge was significant, given the original state, but the result is a truly impressive and functional sanctuary that I believe any customer would adore.
