Midnight Emerald Grandeur Suite
Before & After

Design Assessment
A masterclass in moody luxury, blending deep charcoal tones with vibrant emerald velvet and gold accents.
This transformation is nothing short of breathtaking. We have taken a dated, carpeted room and turned it into a sophisticated sanctuary for entertaining. The deep, moody walls provide a dramatic backdrop that makes the emerald green velvet chairs and gold accents truly pop. The addition of the wide-plank light oak flooring brings a modern warmth that perfectly balances the darker elements of the room. Every detail, from the sculptural leaf chandelier to the elegant bar cart, has been curated to create an atmosphere of refined luxury. This is a space designed for memorable dinners and sophisticated evenings. The transition from the old built-in to the sleek sideboard and arched mirror opens up the room's flow while adding a touch of modern glam.

Color Story

About the Original Room
The original room was a typical builder-grade space with dated beige carpeting and yellow-toned walls. The built-in cabinet felt heavy and out of place, and the overall aesthetic lacked character and focal points.
Transformation Journey
We began by stripping away the dated elements—the carpet, the old drapes, and the built-in hutch. By introducing rich, dark walls and light wood floors, we created a high-contrast foundation. We then layered in textures like velvet and marble, finishing with gold accents to elevate the space to a formal 'Manor' aesthetic.
Designer Notes
The transformation of the flooring from carpet to wood was the absolute game-changer here. It allowed the furniture to 'breathe.' I love the interplay between the organic shapes of the chandelier and the sharp geometric lines of the sideboard. It is a perfect balance of textures.
