A moody, textural sanctuary blending deep charcoal grasscloth with vibrant forest green and rich espresso woods.
This transformation takes a grand, empty space and infuses it with a sense of history and organic warmth. By utilizing the existing architectural molding as a framework for charcoal grasscloth wallpaper, we have created a sophisticated backdrop that highlights the room's impressive scale while making it feel cozy and inhabited. The deep espresso floors provide a solid, grounded foundation that allows the lighter almond trim to pop. The furniture selection balances Luxe and Organic perfectly. The dark walnut bed frame, dressed in olive green linen and almond-toned sheets, invites relaxation, while the cognac leather armchair creates a perfect reading nook by the window. The addition of the crystal chandelier adds a traditional manor-house elegance that contrasts beautifully with the modern, clean lines of the black-framed windows.

About the Original Room
The original room was a beautiful but sterile blank canvas with high-end architectural details like tray ceilings and arched doorways. It felt bright and airy but lacked warmth, texture, and a clear sense of purpose or personality.
Transformation Journey
We leaned into the room's existing architectural bones, using the picture frame molding as a frame for textured charcoal grasscloth. By darkening the floors and adding heavy velvet drapery, we shifted the energy from empty hall to intimate manor retreat, layering in organic materials like jute and linen to soften the look.
Designer Notes
The way the light from the large windows hits the charcoal grasscloth is stunning. I am particularly proud of how the forest green bedding ties into the outdoor view, making the room feel connected to nature while remaining intensely luxurious.
