This transformation breathes new life into your bedroom by embracing the stunning waterfront view. We've replaced the heavy, dated textiles with a sophisticated palette of ivory and sand, instantly making the space feel larger and more serene. The addition of the large natural fiber rug grounds the room and softens the tile, while the crisp linen bedding provides a luxurious, hotel-like feel that invites relaxation. By simplifying the window treatments and adding curated tropical art within the existing wall moldings, we've highlighted the room's architectural character without letting it feel overwhelming. The result is a cohesive, organic retreat that perfectly captures the essence of coastal living, making the most of your home's unique location.

• Replaced heavy pink valances and curtains with light ivory linen drapes
• Swapped busy patterned bedding for crisp, high-quality white and ivory linens
• Added a large natural fiber sisal rug to ground the space and cover the cold tile
• Exchanged the red patterned ottoman for a woven seagrass and acacia wood bench

A soothing blend of warm whites, ivory, and sandy beiges that neutralizes the dark wood furniture and reflects the natural light from the bay.

About the Original Room

The original room felt weighed down by heavy pink window treatments and clashing patterns on the bedding and ottoman. While the waterfront view was a major asset, the interior decor felt dated and distracted from the natural beauty outside.

Transformation Journey

We started by stripping away the visual noise of the patterned fabrics and heavy valances. By layering in high-quality natural materials—like the sisal rug, seagrass bench, and linen curtains—we created a soft, organic foundation that makes the dark wood furniture feel intentional and grounded rather than overpowering.

Designer Notes

I love how the existing wall moldings were used as frames for the new palm art—it makes the redesign feel custom-built for the architecture. The change in window treatments is the real hero here; it opens up the room and lets the water view finally take center stage.
